OPEN POSITIONS

IT Network and Operations Manager

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking an IT Network and Operations Manager with strong management and technical skills.  Individual will be responsible for producing and defining the enterprise requirements for the network to support the credit union’s business strategies. They will ensure the integrity of the architecture across all functional areas.   

Some essential duties include:

  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • Perform configuration, scripting and maintenance of network servers and system software.
  • Maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging developments and trends in technology.
  • Ensure integrity and security of the credit union’s operations to safeguard the credit union’s assets and member accounts.
  • Oversee upgrades and installations – Support IT department activities while upgrading systems and servers and migrating the organization’s data. Monitor all systems to ensure that it remains stable and usable, and maintain data security through the process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in Information Technology or a similar discipline.
  • A minimum of five to eight years of experience in Information Technology with specialized experience and knowledge in Windows networks, servers, communications, security, system installation and enterprise system software.
  • Experience with telecom and VoIP systems.
  • Experience designing disaster recovery and test environments.
  • Experience in a credit union or financial services environment a plus

Vice President Technology and Operations

One of America’s top performing credit unions, Utilities Employees Credit Union, with approximately $1.2 billion in assets, is seeking an experienced strategic IT leader who will be an essential member of the Executive Management Team.

Reporting directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer, this individual will be responsible for:

  • assisting the President/CEO in setting strategic direction and global management of the Credit Union
  • enhancing the credit union’s value proposition to its members by directing and coordinating all aspects of the Information Technology, Information Security, Deposit Services and Card Services areas while also providing technical solutions across the business
  • inspiring a forward-thinking approach ensuring technology innovations align with the short and long-term strategic goals of the credit union
  • managing resources and operational staff and overseeing the areas of technology policy and procedure development, hardware and software purchases and implementation, information systems security and related outside vendor relationships
  • oversight of the project manager whose responsibilities include managing the deposit and card services departments
  • researching and developing new deposit and card products and services that enable the Credit Union to remain competitive and relevant

A four-year degree with a concentration in computer sciences/management information systems and information technology, plus a minimum of ten years’ computer technology experience with at least five years’ experience in directing or managing a robust IT department, is required. Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills coupled with excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential.

Member Services Manager

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking a Member Service Manager with strong management skills who can lead the department in a fast paced virtual environment in pursuit of company wide sales and service objectives.  Individual will be responsible for managing both call center and branch operations.    Responsibilities include coaching and developing staff by accurately assessing strengths and developmental needs of employees.    This individual will continually develop and improve staff communication and service to members and all other departments within the credit union. A team perspective is imperative to the position. Ongoing interaction with staff and management throughout the Credit Union is vital.

We are seeking candidates who also possess:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Call Center & Branch management experience a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of credit union products and services.
  • Knowledge of credit union operating policies and procedures.

National Account Representative

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking a full-time National Account Representative.  This individual seeks out business to business engagement opportunities and business to consumer sales and service opportunities while on company visits and through virtual outreach and tracks activities regarding sales opportunities. This individual works closely with most areas of the Credit Union and works under the direction of the Business Development Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, maintain and grow Sponsor Company relationships.
  • Sell Credit Union products and services.
  • Arrange and conduct visits to prospects and Sponsor Companies.
  • Prospect for new Sponsor Companies in assigned territory for membership growth.
  • Build a pipeline with leads for prospective new Sponsor Companies through cold calling, event participation, social media outreach, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of presentations to groups of members and prospects.
  • Provide support and back-up coverage to other National Account Representatives and Business Development Department responsibilities as needed.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of three years inside or outside sales or account management experience. A valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel overnight is required. A successful candidate will exhibit the following skills:

  • Proficient communication and phone skills.
  • Extensive sales, networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) concepts and process.
  • Proficient knowledge of features and benefits of consumer-related financial products and services.
  • Ability to utilize various social media tools.
  • Business to business experience in the utility, energy or a related industry would be ideal.

Member Services Representative

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is seeking a full-time Member Services Representative to assist our members.  These dedicated individuals work in our fast-paced call center and lobby assisting our members with all of their financial needs and questions.  Duties vary from transferring funds or issuing withdrawal checks to helping a member determine if a new product or service is beneficial for them.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist members over the phone with account changes and updates.
  • Provide members with accurate product and service information and assist them in the completion of required paperwork.
  • Balance transactions daily, handling cash and checks received in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Maintain an awareness of products and new service opportunities with members.  Proactively participate in the cross selling of credit union products and services and actively refer to Sales Department.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 6 months’ customer service experience. Experience in a financial institution is strongly preferred.

A successful candidate will exhibit the following skills:

  • Familiarity with credit union or financial institution products and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in person and over the phone.
  • Excellent listening skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working in customer accounts within financial institution software.
