Visa Card FAQs

What do I do if my Visa Power Card™, Home Equity Visa Platinum Card, Advantages Visa Debit Card™ or Advantages Access Card™ is lost or stolen?

If any of your cards are lost or stolen you should immediately report this to UECU at 800-288-6423 during normal business hours. Lost or stolen cards can be reported outside UECU's normal business hours by calling 800-543-5073, or outside the U.S. collect at 727-507-4888. We will cancel your card and issue a new card immediately. You are not liable for any fraudulent purchases or withdrawals from your account when you notify us promptly. Once UECU issues you a new card, you'll need to notify all of the merchants with whom you've set up automatic payments, and provide them with your new 16-digit number.

Can I use my Visa® credit or debit card internationally? 

Yes, you may use your Visa® Power Card™ or Advantages Visa® Debit Card™ internationally, everywhere Visa is accepted. If you are traveling internationally, please contact our Member Service Representatives at 800-288-6423 prior to your departure to provide information regarding your travel dates. In the event that your Visa Power Card™ or Advantages Visa Debit Card™ is lost or stolen while you are traveling, you can rest easy knowing you have Visa Global Assistance. With Visa Global Assistance you can: 

  • Report a lost or stolen card to help minimize fraud
  • Access emergency cash at 270,000 convenient locations worldwide
  • Receive a replacement Power Card™ or Advantages Visa Debit Card™, usually within 24 hours

How do I request a replacement Visa® Power Card™, Home Equity Visa Platinum Card, Advantages Visa Debit Card™, or Advantages Access Card™?

Please call 800-288-6423 and a Member Service Representative will be happy to assist you. If you require a replacement due to your card being lost or stolen, please immediately contact your UECU representatives, who can cancel your card during normal business hours. If you need to report a lost or stolen Visa® card after hours, call 800-543-5073 - or from outside the U.S., you may call collect at 727-507-4888. With a UECU Visa card, you are not liable for any fraudulent purchases or withdrawals from your account when you notify us promptly. How can I pay my Visa® credit card?

  • Log into Advantages Online™ and make a transfer from your UECU Checking or Savings Account or pull money in from another financial institution using e-Vantages™ by Web.
  • Set up a Visa AutoPay from UECU or an outside institution. You select which account you would like to have the payment deducted from. With AutoPay you decide if you want to pay in full each month, make the minimum payment, or set a fixed amount. You won't have to make individual online payments or write and mail a check each time you are billed. And you won't have to worry about making a late payment. How do I get my credit limit increased on my Visa® credit card?

You may access Advantages Online™ and process as a loan application or call 800-288-6423 x 4001 and a Financial Service Representative will assist you.

How can I use my UECU Visa®Power Card™ to pay off my credit card or loan at another financial institution?

  • call the company and supply them with your UECU credit card number (if that company accepts this type of payment).
  • contact UECU at 800-288-6423 and request convenience checks.
  • request a cash advance into your UECU Checking Account or an account at another financial institution by using e-Vantages™ by Web or e-Vantages™ by Phone (if you choose e-Vantages™ by Phone you will have to complete an ACH Authorization Agreement form which can be located here: ACH Authorization Agreement form.
