Accessing Funds FAQs

How do I make deposits to my account?

In addition to Payroll and Pension Deduction, you may send us a check or sign up for Direct Deposit from your employer. Please make checks payable to:

Make sure to include your account number that you would like the funds deposited to. We also offer Auto Funds Transfer from an account at another financial institution to the UECU account of your choice. Remember that there is no limit to what you may deposit to your account. If you have a UECU Checking Account, the Advantages Visa® Debit Card™ gives you the capability to make deposits at participating ATMs.

In addition, you can deposit into your UECU Savings or Checking accounts with the e-Posit™ services; e-Posit™ Mobile or e-Posit™ Online (services cannot be used to deposit checks to UECU Green Light Checking™ Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, Health Savings Accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, or Coverdell Education Savings Accounts.) Funds deposited to Advantages Money Market Savings™ and eligible checking accounts may provide immediate availability up to $1,500 from e-Posit™; amount of immediate availability is based upon your credit history and overall relationship with UECU and may change periodically.  If you have immediate access to funds, the specific amount will be displayed at the time of your deposit. E-posit™ items that are received and posted by the Credit Union will refresh your available e-posit™ limit. Any check amounts entered after your immediate availability limit is reached will be posted upon review by UECU (e-posit™ Mobile) or upon receipt in the mail (e-posit™ Online) and made available in accordance with UECU Availability of Funds Policy.  Deposit amounts are subject to verification and all items credited to your account are provisional until we receive final payment.

E-posit™ Online can be accessed by logging into Advantages Online™. E-Posit™ Mobile can be accessed via the UECU Mobile Banking App.

How do I make withdrawals from my account?

There are four convenient options:

  1. You have 24 hour access to your account through PAL™ (Personal Voice Access) at 800-278-6725 (610-927-4015 in the Reading, PA area).
  2. Advantages Online™ 24 hour access.
  3. Our Member Service Representatives are also always happy to assist you in making withdrawals from your account. You can reach them at 800-288-6423 during normal UECU business hours.
  4. Via an ATM with the PLUS, STAR, MAC, or NYCE logo if you have an Advantages Visa® Debit Card™ with your UECU Checking Account.

How much money can I receive from a check deposited at an ATM?

Checks may be deposited at select ATMs that accept check deposits (some accept deposits of cash, as well). You can check the ATM locator on the UECU website to find participating ATMs near you. After depositing a check at an ATM, you will have immediate access through your account, to $200.00 of your check funds. There is a required hold of five business days placed on checks deposited through an ATM, after which you will receive full access to any additional funds in the check.

If you'd like to quickly receive more of your funds, make your deposit with UECU’s e-Posit™ services; e-Posit™Mobile or e-Posit™ Online. You may have immediate availability up to $1,500 from e-Posit ™ if you make a deposit to an eligible Checking or Money Market Savings Account. When will my funds from a deposit made to a Checking or Savings Account be available?

UECU has a 2:00 p.m. business day cut off time. Any check deposits received after 2:00 pm on a business day will be posted on the next business day. Checks deposited to a Checking Account will be available 2 business days after the posting date with $200.00 available immediately. A check deposited to a Savings Account will be on hold for 2 business days. Check holds expire 5:00 p.m. on the second business day. Weekends and Holidays do not count as a business day.
